THE RISE OF SNACKIFICATION

The growing trend of ‘snackification’ plays straight into the hands of us Brits who retain an enduring love of eating on-the-hoof.  Ever changing lifestyles means that today chocolate, sugary nonsense and oily crisps are no longer the only ticket in town, because ever longer working days, superior social lives, a growing appreciation for healthier activities, less time spent in the home, the demise of 3 meals a day……………. means we need snacks that provide good nutrition, be that protein, a daily allowance of beneficial vitamins and minerals or a well-timed energy boost.

Our historical dependence (almost obsession) with bad snacking has been instrumental in the explosion of ‘obesity related’ issues in this country, which is especially prevalent amongst those young people who opt for a sedentary lifestyle.

To Prime Bar’s way of thinking snacking in its original guise was instrumental to the ‘bad health’ epidemic that continues to blight so lives in our country.  As a result ‘healthy snacking’ has a duty of care to help turn the tide.
