I have two very strong regional bonds, my original home in Devon and my adopted county, Berkshire where I’ve based my family and business. I love the fact that I’m helping support two local economies that are close to my heart whilst backing a forward-thinking, ethical farming enterprise like Creedy Carver’s free-range ducks.
One of our hardest yet best decisions was to set up our manufacturing facility from the outset. It was a brave decision that certainly tied up a lot of precious cash in the formative months although it’s been pivotal in ensuring that we remain in charge of our destiny and that constant innovation sits at the very heart of everything we believe.
It was certainly a real buzz moving into our Berkshire premises and the local council couldn’t have been more supportive. In essence we’re employing local people, paying them above the living wage and training them in craft that will hold them in good stead.
We also set a local precedent by managing to establish the first EU approved manufacturing food business site in the borough of Windsor & Maidenhead. Our licence number is officially 001 which we hope will both inspire and pave the way for others.
