WHAT DO YOU FIND MOST CHALLENGING ABOUT BLOGGING ABOUT YOUR TOPIC?
Photography & Time! Time: there’ s just not enough of it. I’m a singer also so blogging around rehearsals/shows/teaching is challenging at times. It will get to 11pm and I’ll get a craving to bake & blog. Photography: I’m not overly savvy with cameras and am a bit of a perfectionist, so it’s been a challenge to except that it will take a while for my skills to progress in that area.
HOW WOULD SOMEONE DESCRIBE YOUR BLOGGING STYLE?
I was recently told that I write in a ‘relatable & positive way’, which was really a joy to hear, as that’s my aim when writing a post. The blogs I’m most attracted to are those where the person’s outlook, lifestyle and sense of humor is similar to mine. I’m an extremely low maintenance person in everyday life so I hope that my blogging style portrays this and comes across that way on The Betty Stamp.
HOW DO YOU KEEP COMING UP WITH MATERIAL/CONTENT FOR YOUR BLOG?
Upcoming events that give me an excuse to bake/cook/write about food. Reading magazines – mainly Good Housekeeping, (I’m a middle aged woman trapped in a 25 year olds body!) Asking advise from family and friends. Instagram & Pinterest.
NAME SOME OF THE BLOGGERS WHO YOU ADMIRE AND WHY?
La Coco Noire, I really enjoy her sense of humor and photography.
I Am Baker; I could watch her cake frosting videos on Instagram for hours.
And many many bloggers – too many to name – who write about metal health issues. Openly writing about your experiences and illnesses take a lot of balls and I respect so many bloggers who do this.
