It’s fair to say that airlines and hospitality are significant contributors to the Beckleberry’s success story, a partnership which began back in 2004, when we began being consumed by first and business class passengers of the ‘world’s favourite airline,’ among others, both on the planes themselves and within their exclusive member’s lounges.
We’d long felt that the often unfairly maligned airline fodder could benefit from a thoughtful foodie reboot, since there were a number of thoughtful artisan providers like us that could bring some much needed gravitas, depth and regional charm to a food arena once dominated by the large corporates.
In 2014 our business needed to embark on a seismic overhaul after we teamed up with the world’s largest airline. Even now thinking about the investment we needed, new dry store space, new mix production space, new staff and whizzy new machinery, makes me feel giddy.
